Requirements

  • 2-4 years of accounting or blended finance/accounting experience.
  • Exposure to month-end close and invoicing cycles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (lookups, pivots, large data validation).
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting (debits/credits, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations).
  • Experience with variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred: Experience leveraging generative AI tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with Planful.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for business objectives and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring month-end close responsibilities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and client accrual file updates.
  • Manage the full invoicing cycle including usage loads, invoice/credit memo creation, and client delivery.
  • Maintain accuracy between GL and balance sheet accounts and ensure NetSuite invoices are approved.
  • Update and validate revenue data in Planful to keep operational and financial systems in sync.
  • Support monthly reporting deliverables, including SG&A/COGS reviews, margin analysis, and productivity dashboards.
  • Partner with department leads to validate billable hours and business fulfillment data.
  • Contribute to Monthly Business Review materials including financial results, KPIs, and variance analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve close and reporting processes through automation.
