Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a dynamic startup SaaS or software environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and high attention to detail.
- Proven experience using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
- Comfort picking up new automation tools such as n8n or Zapier.
- Strong judgment on task automation versus human review requirements.
- Experience leading or supporting a financial audit.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Rillet, or similar GL/ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience managing AP, expense, or corporate card programs like Ramp is preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and corporate card programs with accurate coding and timely accruals.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation.
- Partner with the Controller to automate month-end processes using AI and identify efficiency bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and implement emerging AI and finance technology solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering to connect systems and eliminate manual processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit readiness activities.
