Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's strongly preferred) in a relevant scientific field.
- At least 5 years of experience in antibody discovery, lead engineering, protein engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or licensing within the biotherapeutics industry.
- Proven track record of strategic partnering or sales, preferably focused on protein or antibody engineering.
- Deep knowledge of antibody discovery and engineering technologies, markets, and applications.
- Working knowledge of biotherapeutic development from hit discovery through preclinical development.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling customer value propositions.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate qualified leads among pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and related organizations.
- Develop, drive, and secure a consistent pipeline of antibody development service contracts and strategic commercial agreements.
- Lead presentations and strategic pitches, communicating technical capabilities and commercial offerings.
- Lead negotiations, due diligence, contracting, and deal execution for partnerships and agreements.
- Build financial models, contracts, and business cases that support new customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with Legal, IP, Finance, R&D, and other stakeholders to advance customer-facing initiatives.
- Oversee the development of customized proposals, RFP responses, and technical sales collateral.
