Requirements
- 7–15 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or account growth within software development services, IT outsourcing, or related technology services.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently generating and closing new business within development services and outsourcing markets.
- Experience selling custom software development, IT outsourcing, dedicated engineering teams, or comparable technology services.
- Direct experience working with or competing against established global IT service providers is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology buying processes and the ability to engage effectively with senior technology executives.
- Proven ability to build, qualify, and manage a robust sales pipeline from initial prospecting through contract execution.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to collaborate with technical and delivery teams on proposals, SOWs, pricing, and client solutions.
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset with the drive to identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and deliver measurable revenue growth.
- Must be based in the United States, with candidates in Georgia, Florida, Virginia, or Texas preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–40% for client meetings, trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development for custom software development, IT outsourcing, and dedicated engineering team solutions across North America.
- Identify, prospect, qualify, and develop new client opportunities while building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Own the sales process from initial lead generation and discovery through executive engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Build trusted relationships with senior technology and business stakeholders, including CTOs, CIOs, and VPs of Engineering.
- Understand client business and technology challenges and position appropriate development, outsourcing, and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with technical, delivery, and commercial teams to develop tailored proposals, statements of work, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, opportunity progression, forecasts, and sales performance against revenue objectives.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and on-site client meetings to generate new relationships and opportunities.
