Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing and proposals, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, CRO, or a comparable industry.
  • 7+ years of people leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM and business systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, process improvement, operational optimization, and technology adoption.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, stakeholder-management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach to execution and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team responsible for producing high-quality pricing documents, proposals, Statements of Service, change orders, and other client-required materials while meeting SLAs, deadlines, and established policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across pricing and proposal processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, standardize workflows, and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Support the design, implementation, adoption, and optimization of new technologies, pricing platforms, and departmental tools.
  • Promote compliance with established systems, processes, best practices, and operational standards across the function.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools, providing regular insights into departmental and business-unit performance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted partner on pricing, proposals, process improvement, and operational priorities.
  • Establish career paths and development opportunities for team members while creating and delivering training and professional development programs.
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor team results, provide feedback, and strengthen accountability and capabilities across the organization.
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to process optimization, technology enhancement, and broader departmental transformation.
