Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business operations, or a comparable role.
- Proven experience in legal services, professional services, or high-growth startup environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives from problem diagnosis to implementation.
- Strong project management expertise with a track record of managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Experience developing and maintaining operational reporting frameworks (e.g., SLAs, productivity, error rates).
- Experience partnering with product and technical teams to define requirements and manage execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and master complex subject areas like court filing requirements.
- Excellent executive communication skills, including experience creating materials for leadership and boards.
- Experience coaching and partnering with people managers to drive performance and accountability.
- Demonstrated success scaling teams, processes, or markets in a growing organization.
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and adaptability to evolving organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic priorities, operational planning, and high-impact business decisions.
- Own cross-functional projects spanning operations, go-to-market initiatives, and process design.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives from diagnosis through solution design and implementation.
- Scale business operations, processes, and service lines across new jurisdictions and client markets.
- Manage delivery team performance, service levels, and quality standards through process optimization and coaching.
- Develop operational reporting frameworks for executive and board audiences using KPIs like SLA performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to translate operational requirements into technical implementations.
- Define and document workflows, SOPs, and playbooks for jurisdictional requirements like California court filings.
- Manage the department hiring strategy, including recruiting, onboarding, and ramp planning.
- Lead multiple concurrent, unrelated projects while maintaining momentum and accountability.
