Requirements

  • Significant professional experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations (Patient Access and/or Pre-Access).
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex operational or technology implementations in an enterprise healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and firm deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal oversight in a remote environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills to influence leaders, vendors, and clients.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with revenue cycle technology vendors such as Waystar, Experian, or comparable platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with relevant healthcare revenue cycle systems, processes, and client operations (preferred).
  • CRCR certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic operational and technology initiatives from initial planning through implementation, deployment, and go-live.
  • Manage multiple concurrent enterprise projects, balancing competing priorities, stakeholder alignment, and accountability.
  • Drive technology implementations across Patient Access and Pre-Access, including insurance verification, coverage discovery, and call center technologies.
  • Partner with operational teams, technology providers, vendors, and client stakeholders to redesign workflows and improve performance.
  • Monitor and influence key performance indicators like denials reduction, point-of-service collections, and labor efficiency.
  • Identify project risks and dependencies while proactively developing mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on front-end technology and revenue cycle improvement.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to assigned team members, including management of an analyst role.
