Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in Agency or Professional Services environments is a plus.
- Experience with month-end close processes is a plus.
- Experience with revenue recognition and project accounting is a plus.
- Experience in client-facing roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly project accounting efforts and lead status meetings with project managers.
- Review and reconcile new projects, change orders, budget adjustments, and project milestones.
- Perform revenue recognition and ensure compliance with client contracts.
- Prepare monthly project revenue forecasts and compare against budgets.
- Review and process client invoicing, accruals, and expense report coding.
- Monitor subcontractor costs, hours, and bill rates against budgets.
- Assist with annual budget preparation, P&L line items, and annual audit documentation.
- Develop and implement new department policies and procedures.
- Mentor and provide best-practice guidance to junior team members.
