Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related professional or military experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in audit, accounting, FP&A, or a closely related financial function.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop detailed, accurate, and actionable interpretations of financial and operational results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and meaningful financial trends.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new software applications and reporting tools.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience, particularly in budgeting and forecasting, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and maintain sophisticated Excel spreadsheets and cost models supporting resource planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts for management review.
  • Investigate significant cost variances and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify root causes, financial drivers, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Identify, measure, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other operational and financial metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial and budgetary investigations to address emerging business questions and support decision-making.
  • Develop insightful, actionable analyses that clearly explain financial performance, trends, and underlying business drivers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance the quality of financial information, and streamline report production and distribution.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, investigate data anomalies, and ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
  • Design clear, concise, professional reports that are easy for stakeholders to interpret, update, and distribute.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams while balancing independent analysis with collaborative problem-solving.
