Experience: 10+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of hands-on zSeries (mainframe) platform experience.
Proven experience with installation and maintenance of CICS TS and related OEM products.
Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring.
Thorough working knowledge and experience with IBM’s SMP/E.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience with tools used to monitor performance of CICS TS regions.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Capability to work under short deadlines and high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Availability for 8AM-5PM shift, on-call rotation, overtime, and scheduled weekend work.

Responsibilities

Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers regarding CICS TS and related OEM software.
Provide 24x7 support for reported problems related to CICS TS and associated software.
Install OEM software products following best practices and company standards.
Support operating system upgrade processes and proactive customer partition maintenance.
Assist project managers with new customer migrations and address technical hurdles.
Execute tasks associated with customer disaster recovery plans.
Follow ITSM change control procedures for product fixes, upgrades, and maintenance.
