Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or MBA is a plus).
  • 5 years of sales/business development experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven track record of success in introducing novel products or services to physicians and hospitals that change clinical practice.
  • Robust network of existing relationships in hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, and clinical administrators.
  • Strong vision and planning capabilities to effectively grow a regional territory.
  • Excellent business acumen combined with analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with stakeholders from C-level executives to clinicians.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Experience managing multi-level accounts.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales revenue and test volume by establishing new business and increasing utilization in existing hospitals.
  • Engage key stakeholders, including infectious disease physicians, lab directors, and C-level executives, to facilitate the implementation of new diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to achieve territory objectives.
  • Develop thought leaders and early adopters for new approaches to infectious disease diagnosis.
  • Manage and nurture a market-based regional territory, prioritizing hospital and health system accounts for growth.
  • Present product features and benefits using consultative sales techniques to support evaluations and drive adoption.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, articulating the science, technology, and value proposition of the Karius test.
  • Secure and manage partner contracts, agreements, and renewals while demonstrating ROI to accounts.
