Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience across nonprofit fundraising, development strategy, or development operations.
  • At least 5 years working directly within nonprofit or philanthropic fundraising.
  • Deep practical understanding of the fundraising cycle, funder decision-making, proposal development, and stewardship.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of complex philanthropic or grant proposals.
  • Strong track record in people management, including coaching, performance management, and leading distributed teams.
  • Experience operating in a global or matrix organization with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM/database management, Google Workspace, and Slack.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to run a coordination function across concurrent proposals.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to distill complex intelligence into concise proposals.
  • Ability to work with a global team across time zones and travel periodically for team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized global fundraising strategy based on market signals and proposal performance.
  • Manage and coach a global platform-level development team, allocating capacity to organizational priorities.
  • Run the fundraising operating rhythm, including pipeline reviews and cross-program proposal coordination.
  • Standardize fundraising collateral, templates, and reporting processes for global use.
  • Maintain the fundraising CRM and produce dashboards for leadership on pipeline health and funder trends.
  • Serve as an internal partner and 'connective tissue' across country leaders, program teams, and finance.
