Requirements
- Strong production software development experience in Go and/or Python.
- Approximately 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Significant experience in DevOps or SRE operating production systems.
- Deep, hands-on experience with AWS (multi-account organizations, IAM, VPC, and network design).
- Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production, including networking, RBAC, and resource management.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform or similar tools.
- Deep experience in monitoring and observability, specifically with Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Hands-on operational experience with stateful systems (relational databases or message brokers).
- Ability to communicate clearly, document work, and mentor teammates.
- Genuine excitement about AI-assisted development and modern infrastructure guardrails.
Responsibilities
- Own core Platform services and major migrations end-to-end, from proposal to production.
- Run containerized workloads, manage delivery paths, and integrate Kubernetes with existing schedulers.
- Architect and operate AWS multi-account structures, networking, and security configurations.
- Manage identity, secrets, and encryption as first-class infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain stateful systems including databases, message brokers, and caches.
- Implement distributed tracing, monitoring, and SLOs defined as code.
- Build infrastructure as code and developer tooling using Terraform, GitHub, and Buildkite.
- Develop secure guardrails for AI-assisted development tools.
