Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software testing or quality assurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Proven experience developing automated test suites and testing tools.
- Programming experience with Python.
- Experience testing both frontend and backend applications.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX and/or Linux environments.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot software applications, hardware, operating systems, and test failures.
- Experience with networking concepts and network-based testing environments.
- Working knowledge of Git and Jira.
- Strong technical documentation skills, including experience creating test procedures and related QA documentation.
- Ability to work effectively as both a hands-on engineer and technical team lead.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of test engineers responsible for developing tests, automation, and comprehensive validation of smart energy products.
- Define and strengthen testing processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient quality assurance.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and supporting scripts and tools, including solutions built with Python.
- Plan and execute system-level testing across frontend and backend applications, software, hardware, operating systems, and network environments.
- Build and maintain network environments required for system and integration testing.
- Perform first-level triage of issues discovered during testing, debugging failures and identifying potential root causes.
- Work closely with software development teams to communicate defects, track issues, and drive timely bug resolution.
- Establish and maintain test procedures, technical documentation, and quality standards.
- Represent quality control throughout the product lifecycle and help ensure releases meet established quality requirements.
