Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of software development experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and web services.
  • Experience working with Oracle or other relational databases.
  • Experience using Git-based source control.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
  • Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
  • Support enhancements and sustainment for applications utilizing Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, and Oracle.
  • Design and implement REST and SOAP-based services and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain modern backend services utilizing Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, and JPA/Hibernate.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments.
