Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or related discipline.
- Prior relevant software development or architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience in a DevOps or System Administration role.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-based solutions in production.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools like Chef, Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Experience administering Windows and Linux servers.
- Proficiency in cloud computing concepts; Azure preferred.
- Experience with virtualization and container solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology and software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a growing team focused on applying software engineering practices to operations at scale.
- Monitor and report on service level objectives and establish key performance indicators with product owners.
- Design and architect operational solutions to increase automation, repeatability, and consistency.
- Create and maintain monitoring technologies to improve visibility into application performance and business metrics.
- Test application and infrastructure resiliency over a variety of error conditions.
- Partner with security engineers to respond to risks and vulnerabilities.
- Provide architectural guidance to development teams to improve efficiency, performance, and costs.
