Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with FedRAMP (Moderate/High levels) including continuous monitoring and vulnerability management.
  • Production experience with incident response and on-call rotations.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud networking and traffic management (CNI, Istio).
  • Expertise with multi-region deployments in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Demonstrable production Kubernetes experience (e.g., Managed Kubernetes, Helm, kubectl, kOps).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Go).
  • Experience with cloud deployment and automation tools (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information.
  • AI fluency with AI-assisted workstreams and tooling.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to government-specific work restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Bitwarden Gov cloud infrastructure, with emphasis on security, reliability and quality.
  • Evaluate current infrastructure and make recommendations for reliability, security, availability, scalability and cost management.
  • Implement site reliability tools, monitoring, and observability across cloud environments.
  • Respond to infrastructure-based outages and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation with weekend shifts.
  • Execute architectural designs and engineering operations at scale.
  • Participate in code reviews and mature incident management and escalation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine priorities and deliverables.
  • Perform ongoing vulnerability management and security remediations.
