Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related concentration.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling US government contracts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to reconcile balance sheets and profit/loss reports.
- Strong proficiency using advanced computer skills in MS Excel.
- Experience using Accounting Software such as Quick Books.
- Professional communication skills with a strong command of the English language both verbal and written.
- Experience with handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Experience with interacting with Executive, Upper Management and 3rd party funding sources.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, research and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual team environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish procedures and policies to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting and ensure compliance with Federal WIOA, local, State, and corporate policies.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and working capital requirements.
- Monitor government contracts and private restricted funding to ensure full financial utilization.
- Process employee expenses, vendor project invoices and program payroll analytics.
- Perform month-end closing activities including Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Compile all supporting documentation for monthly contract invoices.
- Support annual audit deliverables and manage periodic program audit requests.
- Oversee and complete software client invoice process ensuring customer orders are invoiced and fulfilled within a timely manner.
