Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience implementing scalable systems and automation in growing organizations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards.
- Proficiency with tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail (preferred).
- Collaborative mindset and ability to influence executive-level decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full account reconciliation.
- Build and maintain a 12-month rolling cash forecast, updated weekly.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all departments.
- Develop automated systems and workflows to reduce manual reporting time by 25% within the first year.
- Partner with leadership to implement initiatives that increase profitability and improve EBITDA.
- Create and document SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes.
- Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing.
- Produce financial dashboards and KPIs to drive decision-making.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Operations to align growth and inventory planning.
- Evaluate technology solutions and ERP systems to prepare for scale.
