Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management or credit risk management.
- At least 5 years focused on credit, underwriting, or risk within consumer lending, fintech, or banking.
- Deep hands-on expertise with underwriting models and credit decisioning strategies.
- Strong quantitative and statistical capabilities, with ability to work with Data Science on model design and validation.
- Experience navigating regulatory and compliance requirements associated with consumer credit.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute multi-quarter or multi-year underwriting strategies.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to accelerate underwriting analysis and model iteration.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative discipline.
- Strong business ownership and sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
- Own the multi-quarter underwriting strategy and roadmap across multiple consumer credit products.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, Risk, and other Product leaders to design, test, and scale a multi-product underwriting platform.
- Identify and champion new, differentiated credit signals, including alternative data sources.
- Define and manage core underwriting KPIs, balancing customer outcomes, risk, and business performance.
- Lead experimentation across underwriting strategies and model changes, from hypothesis to rollout.
- Translate complex quantitative concepts into clear product strategies for cross-functional teams.
- Ensure underwriting strategies account for regulatory and compliance requirements.
