Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, infrastructure, or data platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, and semantic conventions.
- Experience leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams or product areas without direct authority.
- Understanding of challenges in deploying and operating software across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
- Experience turning complex onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
- History of using customer research and product data to make decisions and align stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Experience using or building instrumentation systems, agents, or related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap for the journey from an uninstrumented workload to healthy, useful telemetry in Grafana Cloud.
- Create coherent, opinionated experiences that help users choose and implement the right instrumentation approach.
- Identify and eliminate causes of setup failure, abandonment, and misconfiguration.
- Establish shared experience principles and success criteria across contributing product and engineering teams.
- Partner with downstream solution teams to create a coherent transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
- Represent Grafana Labs in OpenTelemetry ecosystem discussions and partner with marketing on product narratives.
