Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby-on-Rails.
- 1+ years of experience managing engineers.
- Prior experience within the healthcare software industry.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment requiring high adaptability.
- Comfortable using AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with React, Typescript, and GraphQL (Nice to have).
- Experience integrating with EHRs, HL7, FHIR, and/or SmartOnFHIR (Nice to have).
- Familiarity with medical coding standards like CPT, ICD-10, and SNOMED (Nice to have).
- Experience with large-scale data-driven products or features (Nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 4-6 engineers to facilitate professional development.
- Serve as a player-coach active in coding contributions and technical support.
- Own team agile rituals including planning, ticketing, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Plan, lead, and support new production features by partnering with Product Managers and designers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support production software usage by enterprise customers.
- Champion software performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Balance new development against technical debt and architectural improvements.
- Lead the adoption and usage of AI tooling throughout software development practices.
