Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, marketing compliance, consumer lending, banking, financial services, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of consumer financial services regulations, advertising requirements, UDAAP principles, and customer communication standards.
  • Experience reviewing marketing materials, advertising content, disclosures, and customer-facing communications.
  • Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and workflow/document management tools (Asana and Kadince a plus).
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with CFPB guidance and digital marketing compliance.
  • Experience working with creative or product marketing teams.
  • CRCM or other relevant compliance certifications (preferred).
  • Must be able to travel for the initial 6-month onboarding experience and approximately 5% annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide guidance on marketing campaigns, advertisements, and public-facing content for regulatory and internal policy compliance.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Risk teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks early in development.
  • Evaluate marketing claims, disclosures, and representations for accuracy and consistency.
  • Translate federal and state regulatory developments into practical guidance for stakeholders.
  • Develop and enhance marketing compliance policies, review frameworks, and approval workflows.
  • Conduct periodic compliance monitoring, internal audits, and assist with regulatory examinations.
  • Create training materials and best practices to enable compliant marketing execution.
