Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering.
- Demonstrated ownership of production cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including multi-account architecture.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
- Experience with GitOps-style delivery pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Solid grounding in networking and security fundamentals (VPC design, DNS, PKI, secrets management).
- Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with cloud cost management (FinOps) practices.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain foundational shared services including VPCs, DNS, PKI, and secrets management.
- Own the cloud landing zone, managing multi-region connectivity, account/resource structure, tagging standards, and cost-efficient scaling.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
- Design self-service pathways for code hosting and automated, governed deployments.
- Develop security guardrails including policy-as-code, tagging enforcement, cost controls, and security baselines.
- Implement foundational observability infrastructure for logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Partner with SRE teams to ensure platform reliability, availability, and performance.
- Manage cloud vendor and tooling relationships while flagging risk and cost issues.
