Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years selling high-end technology software solutions to R&D and engineering teams.
- Proven hunting and prospecting skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong ability to build trusted advisor relationships and rapport with prospects.
- Demonstrated experience in lead follow-up, qualification, and targeted account selling.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce.com for sales productivity.
- Demonstrated success using a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach.
- BS degree or higher in engineering or computer science is preferred.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense market, specifically UAS, is preferred.
- Experience selling to system integrators and government agencies is a plus.
- Background in middleware or communication infrastructure is a plus.
- Possession of a Secret Clearance is considered a plus.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Present and sell RTI software and engineering services to current and potential customers in partnership with Field Application Engineers.
- Proactively seek new business in the UAS industry through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and trade events.
- Plan and conduct onsite meetings to consult with customers on technical and business challenges.
- Collaborate with RTI Engineering and Product & Markets staff to develop tailored software solutions.
- Manage the full sales process including lead management, qualification, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Work with the Services team to onboard new clients and support existing customer retention.
- Coordinate with Marketing to execute territory events like seminars and lunch & learns.
- Forecast territory metrics and meet or exceed assigned sales quotas.
