Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in the US healthcare domain with healthcare data.
- Direct experience working with or for a US health plan (Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial).
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL to analyze, probe, and prototype against data.
- Strong experience eliciting and authoring business requirements in complex, data-driven environments.
- Confident client-facing communication skills to drive discussions and elicit requirements.
- Demonstrated systems thinking capability to design for reuse and scale across complex data ecosystems.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and re-prioritizing frequently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of payer concepts including membership/enrollment, provider, claims, and authorizations.
- Desirable: Exposure to Databricks or Snowflake.
- Desirable: Familiarity with HEDIS, Stars, risk adjustment, payment integrity, or CMS-0057.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with client subject matter experts to identify business context, pain points, and success criteria.
- Translate business use cases into clear, testable requirements with full traceability.
- Document requirements and create designs for developers, including source-to-target data flows and transformation logic.
- Perform hands-on SQL analysis to probe data, test assumptions, and prototype solutions.
- Drive client-facing requirements gathering and serve as the main point of contact throughout the engagement.
- Apply systems thinking to design reusable patterns across multi-workstream engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams like Solution Architects, Product, and QA to provide clean, context-rich hand-offs.
