Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven project management experience, preferably in battery energy storage, solar, or electrical construction.
- Experience managing subcontractors overseeing electrical or construction projects.
- Working knowledge of battery energy storage systems, inverters, switchgear, and metering.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 855, and UL 9540 standards.
- Proficiency with local permitting and inspection processes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed with flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contractor-led installations and commissioning of battery energy storage systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Forecast and schedule battery storage installations to ensure alignment with project timelines and resource availability.
- Manage permitting, utility interconnection applications, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) inspections.
- Coordinate site readiness activities including electrical service evaluation and load data review.
- Monitor contractor performance regarding project schedules, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
- Enforce electrical safety and code compliance including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 855.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage the Bill of Materials and ensure timely material delivery.
