Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • 7 to 9+ years of experience in oncology, Patient Access, market access, or pharmaceutical patient service programs.
  • Proven experience supporting specialty or oral oncology launches.
  • Deep understanding of payer dynamics, specialty pharmacy and distribution models, and reimbursement processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Adverse Event (AE) reporting.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, compliant documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to travel as needed to home office and external conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a single point of contact to proactively manage individual patient cases and overcome access and financial barriers.
  • Execute the transition of Expanded Access Program patients upon FDA approval.
  • Manage standardized escalation frameworks with specialty pharmacies, insurers, and the Field Reimbursement Team to resolve access issues.
  • Ensure timely communication with patients and providers regarding enrollment, benefit verification, prior authorization, and pharmacy status.
  • Monitor patient cases for bottlenecks and conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to address unresolved barriers.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation standards in alignment with compliance and patient advocacy goals.
  • Collaborate with third-party hubs, copay providers, and internal medical and quality teams to foster a one-team approach.
