Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with current state license.
  • 7 to 9+ years of experience in oncology, patient access, market access, or pharmaceutical patient service programs.
  • Proven experience supporting specialty or oral oncology launches.
  • Deep understanding of payer dynamics, specialty pharmacy and distribution models, reimbursement processes, and patient support program operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Adverse Event (AE) reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed to home office and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage individual patient cases to ensure access and overcome financial barriers including benefit verifications, prior authorizations, denials, and appeals.
  • Execute smooth transition of all Expanded Access Program patients upon FDA approval.
  • Manage standardized escalation frameworks with field reimbursement teams, pharmacies, and insurance providers.
  • Ensure timely contact with patients and providers from enrollment through case closure.
  • Monitor cases for bottlenecks and ensure immediate stakeholder follow-up.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation standards to ensure access barriers are compliantly resolved.
  • Foster a patient-centric, collaborative culture across internal and third-party partner teams.
