Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Affairs, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, policy, or a related area.
  • Extremely strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of the political process, with experience engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both inside the organization and with clients.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Teams experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients at national, state and local associations to create Calls For Action (CFAs), target lists, and mass emails.
  • Contact legislative offices and verify district mapping and shapefiles.
  • Track and report metrics including open rates, click-throughs, and participation rates.
  • Balance, track and effectively manage multiple projects, competing priorities, requests, and deadlines.
  • Create, follow and update project management tracking materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support advocacy efforts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure advocacy strategies are integrated into broader programs.
  • Report on the progress of advocacy campaigns and evaluate their impact to internal and client stakeholders.
