Requirements
- 8+ years of total software engineering experience.
- 2–4+ years of direct people management experience.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on proficiency in Golang including performance tuning and concurrency.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for managing cloud-native microservices.
- Experience managing production environments, on-call rotations, and incident responses in 24/7 SaaS environments.
- Ability to manage or collaborate with distributed teams across US Central/Eastern time zones.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
- Experience with FedRAMP High / IL4 security frameworks preferred.
- Operational experience with Kafka, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), and Terraform preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a high-performing engineering team across the US and EU.
- Champion a shift from reactive delivery to proactive technical ownership.
- Execute key global infrastructure expansions across complex environments.
- Guide architectural decisions around microservices, Go-based services, and extreme-scale cellular architectures.
- Partner with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to align roadmaps and ensure production reliability.
- Oversee production environments and high-severity incident responses using GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices.
