Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage, state licensing requirements, OSHA standards, and accreditation body standards (e.g., AAAHC, AAAASF, The Joint Commission).
  • Experience conducting audits, gap analyses, and/or mock surveys.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and influence staff across multiple sites.
  • Ability to travel 25-40% to ASC and OBL locations for support and assessments.
  • RN license or clinical background is preferred.
  • CASC, CPHQ, or CIC certification is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-site healthcare organizations or management services organizations (MSO).
  • Familiarity with RCA, FMEA, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Track and review adverse events, near misses, and patient complaints, ensuring incidents are reported, escalated, and resolved.
  • Train center staff and leadership on quality and safety best practices and incident reporting expectations.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) meetings to identify contributing factors and implement corrective action plans.
  • Develop and publish safety education resources to reinforce best practices.
  • Conduct gap analyses and random audits to assess compliance with CMS, state, and OSHA requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison for infection control protocols and public health reporting.
  • Perform quarterly quality and safety benchmarking across the network.
