Requirements
- Associate degree or technical college qualification in mechanical, electrical, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
- Up to 2 years of relevant field service experience in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or a comparable technical environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical assembly drawings and instructions.
- Experience assembling or servicing mid-sized capital equipment such as CNC machinery or industrial automation systems.
- Experience working with low- and high-voltage electrical equipment and electrical measurement tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-identification skills for advanced technical systems.
- Familiarity with GD&T and strong mathematical skills, including trigonometry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Support customers with site preparation requirements and ensure locations are ready for equipment installation.
- Install and commission additive manufacturing machines and associated ancillary equipment at customer sites.
- Deliver general safety, operation, and maintenance training to customers and relevant personnel.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities and identify potential equipment issues.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, troubleshoot equipment failures, determine root causes, and complete recommended repairs.
- Replace wear parts and spare components as required to restore equipment performance.
- Coordinate the availability of spare parts, tools, and other resources ahead of service interventions.
- Provide telephone and email support to customers and internal teams for troubleshooting and parts ordering.
- Support solution-center activities, including equipment testing, operation, and customer acceptance processes.
- Prepare detailed service, time, expense, and customer reports following field interventions.
