Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a healthcare billing, insurance, patient relations, or medical claims role
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, claim processing, appeals, and recoupment procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of Denial Language and Carrier CARC Codes
- Expert understanding of The Life Cycle of a Claim
- Critical thinking skills for evaluating complex cases and identifying solutions
- Basic to intermediate level Excel experience (data formatting, formulas, pivot tables)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills for managing cases and documentation
- 1+ years of experience partnering with or leading offshore teams preferred
- Previous mental health or behavioral health billing and collections experience preferred
- Proficiency with EHR systems and billing software like AdvancedMD preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned payers on the Revenue Cycle Management team
- Investigate claim denials and navigate evolving payer requirements
- Ensure complex claims are prioritized and resolved accurately
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze operational and denial trends
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and claim outcomes
- Provide guidance to offshore team members on payer-specific workflows and resolution strategies
- Assist with onboarding and promote consistency by sharing best practices
