Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a mid-level engineer.
- Solid working experience with Ruby on Rails, Stimulus, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and CSS3.
- Proficiency with Hotwire/Turbo, RSpec, ViewComponent, and SQL/Postgres.
- Strong understanding of Git and SQL reporting tools.
- Track record of thoughtful refactoring, data design, and disciplined testing.
- Experience evaluating and incorporating third-party software and APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with AI dev tools like Claude Code or Codex.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Take high command of a defined area of the codebase, shipping production-grade Rails features end to end.
- Support and grow a team of 1–3 junior engineers, partnering with product managers to complete projects.
- Apply refactoring, careful data design, and disciplined testing to maintain codebase health.
- Operate within a small team to deliver features and solve complex problems.
- Use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Codex fluently as a force multiplier.
