Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production software.
- Proven track record of owning architecture and technical direction beyond a single team.
- Demonstrated expertise in system design for scalable, reliable production infrastructure.
- Proficiency in backend technologies: TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, and NATS.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies: React and React Native.
- Fluency with AI-paired delivery tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and support their technical growth.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to influence teams and drive adoption of technical standards without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Architect and guide the design of scalable, long-lasting systems across multiple teams.
- Lead architecture reviews and design discussions to provide technical judgment and strategy.
- Unblock engineers by debugging complex technical problems across various projects.
- Write production code regularly while setting standards for AI-paired delivery.
- Mentor engineers at all levels to foster technical growth and leadership.
- Identify and mitigate systemic risks and technical debt through cross-team initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and product managers to define technical roadmaps.
