Requirements
- Strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails
- Experience designing maintainable systems and making pragmatic technical tradeoffs
- Strong testing habits and an understanding of how tests support long-term maintainability
- Comfort working on platform, infrastructure, tooling, or developer experience problems
- Demonstrated desire to improve engineering standards across teams
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback
- Passion for software craft and serving other developers
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the long-term technical health of the monorepo
- Plan solution designs and release strategies with engineering stakeholders
- Lead foundational upgrades across the stack
- Improve code quality, application structure, and maintainability
- Address platform scalability, reliability, and performance
- Resolve security vulnerabilities across the application
- Build and maintain developer tooling, CI linting, and quality-of-life improvements
- Maintain shared infrastructure including feature flags, end-to-end tests, and infrastructure-as-code
- Unblock product teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship
