Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
- 7 years or more of sell-side or buy-side analyst experience.
- Prior experience covering single name corporate credit across both bank loan and high yield markets with a European focus.
- Proficiency in corporate credit analysis, with an emphasis on either loan / High Yield or Distressed strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to follow a bottoms-up, fundamental approach to investment research focusing on individual companies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor single name corporate credit situations in European markets including new issues, distressed, restructuring/re-orgs, and price dislocations in both leveraged loan and high yield markets.
- Create original, sell-side type content on European credit topics.
- Conduct bottoms-up company research including reviewing earnings releases, reading investor presentations and analyzing regulatory filings.
- Moderate teleconferences on timely topics featuring an expert from Guidepoint’s network with the goal of producing actionable insights for buy-side clients.
- Generate ideas and follow key investor views among relevant strategies within European credit.
