Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • 3–5 years of professional sales experience within the life sciences industry, ideally involving laboratory instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to life sciences, pharmaceutical, CRO, biopharma, government, or academic customers.
  • Understanding of consultative and value-based selling techniques.
  • Experience managing distributors, channel partners, or other indirect sales networks.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and scientific products.
  • Exposure to government tender processes, particularly GeM tenders (advantageous).
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and regional expansion across Karnataka and Kerala, achieving annual revenue and sales targets.
  • Develop the life sciences market across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities by identifying new opportunities.
  • Build and manage qualified sales funnels, proactively qualify leads, and convert opportunities.
  • Promote products through consultative and value-based selling.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and channel partners.
  • Engage customers across life sciences, pharmaceutical, CRO, biopharma, government, and academic segments.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, installations, and customer training.
  • Use Salesforce or other CRM systems to plan and document sales activities.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and communicate regional action plans.
  • Travel extensively, approximately 50% of the month, to meet customers and partners.
