Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in content marketing, public relations, media relations, or journalism.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian media landscape and experience pitching to Canadian media.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating data-driven content and communicating information visually using charts, tables, graphs, or infographics.
- Hands-on familiarity with design and visual communication tools such as Figma and Canva.
- Strong research, analytical, fact-checking, and self-editing skills.
- Ability to independently research topics and turn findings into strategic recommendations.
- Proactive and adaptable mindset with an interest in real estate and market trends.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with AI-powered content and research tools is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public relations and content marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Research, write, and edit data-driven blog articles, website copy, newsletters, and media pitches.
- Collect and interpret Canadian and U.S. real estate market data for consumer-facing content.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets across Canada and the U.S.
- Translate complex market insights into media briefs and prepare spokespeople for interviews.
- Provide editorial oversight, including fact-checking and proofreading.
- Support junior team members with research methodologies and editorial guidance.
- Monitor industry trends to identify new PR and content opportunities.
- Incorporate AI and visual storytelling techniques like infographics and graphs.
