Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade education preferred.
- 5+ years of wind turbine maintenance, service, troubleshooting, or repair experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Siemens Gamesa turbine platforms (SG129, SG145, Siemens 2.3, Bonus 1.3, G87, SGTT).
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Ability to travel extensively (75–100%) to wind farm locations throughout the United States.
- Ability to climb wind turbine towers and work at heights of 300 feet or greater.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and in confined or restricted work areas.
- Ability to wear required PPE and fall-protection equipment for extended periods.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist with planned and unplanned maintenance on Siemens Gamesa wind turbine platforms.
- Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system faults.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and component replacements in accordance with OEM procedures.
- Maintain a strong field safety culture and enforce compliance with OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements.
- Conduct field observations and quality inspections to ensure work is performed correctly and safely.
- Manage daily work planning, crew mobilization, and coordination with customer site representatives.
- Ensure accurate completion of service reports, maintenance records, and project documentation.
