Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in Category Management, Category Insights, or Shopper Insights within the CPG or beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of category management, shopper behavior, and retail market analysis.
- Experience using syndicated data tools such as SPINS, IRI/Circana, Numerator, and Kroger Stratum/84.51°.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF statements, and SUMIFS.
- Strong PowerPoint and data storytelling skills to turn data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Experience supporting sales teams, customer development, and joint business planning with retail partners.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and selling stories.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence teams without direct authority.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Transform data into compelling, actionable stories for Sales, Brand, and leadership teams.
- Provide credible, forward-looking insights that shape joint business planning, assortment strategies, pricing, and promotion guidance.
- Equip Sales teams with turnkey selling narratives and dashboards to strengthen customer conversations.
- Provide category and shopper context to refine and identify whitespace opportunities for Brand Strategy.
- Consolidate syndicated data, internal sales data, shopper trends, and panel metrics into a single category point of view.
- Partner with customer development, sales, revenue growth management, finance, and brand marketing to ensure strategy alignment.
- Serve as the internal category expert to guide business decisions and expansion into adjacent categories.
- Improve and create reporting and analytical tools to allow efficient insight extrapolation.
