Requirements
- Advanced life sciences degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) is required.
- Extensive prior medical writing experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a communication agency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and EndNote reference-management software.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Superior time management skills to handle demanding project timelines.
- Ability to maintain professional interactions with clients and thought leaders across various therapeutic areas.
- Willingness to travel from moderate to extensive amounts depending on the specific team assignment.
Responsibilities
- Write, review, and direct content development (including Medical Writers, Editors, and Graphic Artists) to meet strategic needs.
- Analyze and interpret complex medical documents to ensure evidence-based, high-quality deliverables.
- Lead client and author interactions to translate strategic and marketing objectives into compelling programs.
- Manage and mentor Medical Writers and provide scientific training to team members.
- Stay current on competitor products, clinical research, and treatment developments to inform content strategy.
- Manage timelines, regulatory review processes, and advisory board design to ensure consistent quality.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including participating in presentations and pitches.
