Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax (Master’s degree optional).
- Active or inactive CPA license is required.
- 7+ years of experience in a tax role (management, audit, compliance).
- Prior experience working with international tax and transfer pricing fundamentals.
- Experience with both public (Big 4 preferred) and private sector tax environments.
- Deep understanding of US federal, state, and local income tax and sales and use tax compliance.
- Proven track record in tax planning and preparation of tax returns.
- Intermediate Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, franchise fees, and annual forms (1099, 1042, 3921).
- Review annual income tax returns, projections, and tax provisions provided by external tax teams.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for global entities while identifying and mitigating tax risks.
- Manage transfer pricing studies, documentation, and intercompany pricing policies.
- Monitor tax nexus, legislative changes, and sales taxability of products across jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with treasury management for timely tax payments and reconcile tax liability and asset accounts.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
