Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of related experience
- CPA certification or actively working towards CPA
- Advanced experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with cloud-based software applications
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in transitioning clients to cloud-based platforms
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions including bill pay, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and the chart of accounts
- Prepare financial reports and analysis of results
- Prepare client sales tax returns, year-end 1099 returns and property tax declarations
- Design and improve reconciliation and accounting processes
