Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development using Swift.
- 3+ years in a formal engineering management or technical lead role directly managing mobile engineers.
- Exposure to Android development (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components).
- Experience leading teams that build mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
- Working knowledge of RESTful API integration, data synchronization, and secure authentication.
- Working knowledge of WebViews and efficient implementation.
- Experience with hybrid/cross-platform mobile frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Ionic/Capacitor.
- Proven experience establishing engineering best practices, hiring, and team growth.
- Proficiency in performance optimization, debugging, and memory management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Fastlane and GitHub Actions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product/PM to translate customer requirements into a roadmap and drive team delivery.
- Triage production issues using tools like Instabug and Firebase to guide root-cause analysis.
- Coach and mentor engineers through complex bugs, performance issues, and memory management problems.
- Set technical direction and review architectural designs for mobile applications, including MVVM and Clean Architecture.
- Manage team performance, conduct 1:1s, support career development planning, and maintain cross-functional communication.
- Evaluate build-vs-buy and native-vs-hybrid strategy decisions for mobile development.
