Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product design and/or design engineering.
- 2+ years of senior-level design experience at a global consumer brand.
- Ability to prototype in code to a production standard, including semantic markup and accessibility.
- Fluency in motion and interaction implementation (e.g., easing curves, spring physics).
- Experience structuring design systems (token layering, naming conventions, design-to-code parity).
- Proficiency in partnering with engineers for code reviews and contribution.
- Experience defining workflows that improve design and engineering consistency.
- Proficiency in research, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong project management skills to handle complexity from proposal to release.
- Capability to write clear creative briefs for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience using AI tooling to assist in project management and execution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and solve complex problems across products like Duck.ai, native apps, and search.
- Ensure execution meets high quality standards by working directly in the codebase and partnering with front-end engineers.
- Prototype designs and interactions to production standard using semantic markup.
- Structure and maintain a design system including token layering and primitive/semantic naming.
- Lead impactful projects from ideation to execution while managing cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
- Instrument work for qualitative and quantitative data collection to drive decision-making.
- Write creative briefs defining project goals, rationale, and success metrics.
