Requirements
- 12–18+ months of professional billing experience or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience in Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or Logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently investigate discrepancies and resolve freight/order holds.
- Typing speed of approximately 40+ WPM.
- Strong numerical and 10-key data-entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under deadline pressure.
- Experience with freight or logistics billing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review vendor and carrier invoices, comparing charges against sales orders to identify pricing and freight discrepancies.
- Independently manage invoicing for assigned orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing KPIs.
- Coordinate with carriers like UPS and FedEx to research charges and accelerate issue resolution.
- Resolve international (INT) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight holds and shipping discrepancies.
- Reconcile differences between actual and published freight rates and process necessary billing adjustments.
- Communicate with Account Executives, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing concerns.
- Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets for freight tracking, auditing, and accrual reporting.
