Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering management roles where you actively coded.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Deep technical background in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.
- API-first mindset with experience building products functional through APIs.
- Strong opinions on engineering operations, hiring, and performance management.
- Track record of transforming engineering teams to improve velocity and quality.
- Excellent judgment under pressure and ability to make decisions with imperfect information.
- Direct, candid communication skills.
- Ability to work AI-augmented and lead an AI-augmented team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, owning both its delivery and its development.
- Develop engineers through regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and direct, candid feedback.
- Write and review code to remain a credible voice in architectural decisions.
- Drive the team's architectural and technical design decisions in partnership with senior ICs.
- Run a disciplined cadence of planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Partner closely with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
- Own hiring for the team, including interviewing and recruiting.
- Collaborate across Product, Design, GTM, and Customer Success teams.
