Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of system or platform administration experience in enterprise or federal environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform administration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring users, groups, roles, ACLs, authentication, plugins, and security controls.
  • Experience with ServiceNow instance upgrades, clones, release management, and configuration promotion.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow platform governance models, configuration standards, and change controls.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow security architecture, least-privilege design, and audit logging.
  • Experience supporting SSO and identity integrations (Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ATO support activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using platform and integration logs.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies (VA, DoD, HHS) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Support initial configuration and operationalization of ServiceNow instances across development, test, staging, and production.
  • Manage and maintain ServiceNow instances to ensure platform availability, performance, stability, and security.
  • Perform advanced administration including cloning, upgrades, patching, and release management.
  • Establish and enforce platform governance, configuration standards, and administrative processes.
  • Configure and maintain users, roles, ACLs, SSO integrations, and role-based access controls using least-privilege principles.
  • Monitor instance health, logs, and integrations; remediate platform findings and technical debt.
  • Support FISMA and NIST 800-53 compliance, STIGs, and ATO activities in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 incident support and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
